Hawthorne Stingrays Swim Team |

The Hawthorne Stingrays participate in a county-wide summer swim league
sponsored by the Tarheel Swim Association (TSA). Competitive meets run
for six weeks on Tuesday evenings in the summer, with daily practices
beginning in the middle of May.
All neighborhood children aged 4-18 (with the ability to keep their head
above the water by themselves) are welcome to join the team regardless
of how well they swim. This is an awesome way for children to develop
excellent swimming skills and for families in the community to develop
friendships. Registration is usually in late April/early May and is
announced in the Hawthorne Happenings newsletter.
Private swim lessons are available, for a fee, and are posted at the
pool by participating instructors.
